FUN IN KINDERGARTEN!!!
We have had a busy, busy start to our school year already!! We started the year by watching 8 caterpillars turn into butterflies and then releasing them. It was amazing to watch. We have been working really hard learning beginning sounds and listening to words that rhyme. We are also practicing writing our numbers and doing a lot of counting! We are also lucky enough to have 4th grade reading buddies from Ms. Majot's room. With the smell of fall in the air, the crunching of leaves, and the sweet taste of cider and doughnuts, October is the perfect time to learn about our 5 senses! This month we will also be observing, predicting whether our pumpkins sink or float and counting the seeds inside our pumpkins! Ask one of our pumpkin "scientists" about what they learned! We will also have a visitor from our local fire department as we learn about fire safety.
Looking ahead we are excited to celebrate Halloween. On Halloween, we will be celebrating by reading, Where The Wild Things Are and making masks. If you would like to send in a special treat that would be fine!Keep checking my web page for any updates, photos, daily schedules, or any other Kindergarten information.
