To:  My Amazing Students entering into 4th,  5th, &  6th 

Dear Students,

        If you read this entire packet, complete the comprehension questions and return it to me the first day of school, you will be invited to a special lunch celebration in my classroom on Friday, September 7^th or Monday, September 10^th 2018!

        Please use your CLOSE READING skills and strategies throughout the stories.  Special prizes will be awarded for reading for fun this summer as well!  Fill in those yellow Summer Reading Logs!  I will miss you this summer, but make sure you have fun and play outside too!  I can’t wait to hear all about the fun you have.

        Parents, if you have any questions or concerns please email me at cemrich@genvalley.org.  *Stories can also be read to the student online if you create a free account at https://www.readworks.org/.  This is not a mandatory assignment, but reading over the summer and at home for fun is highly recommended!
