The Intergenerational Enrichment and Educational Caregiver Respite initiative is a program of Ardent Solutions, Inc., in partnership with the Allegany County Office for the Aging and Genesee Valley Central School District. This initiative is supported by the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York and the Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation, and managed by the Philanthropic Initiative.
Our Vision
To support Allegany County community members who provide care to older adults. Together we can reduce the stress and social isolation commonly experienced by caregivers and older adults.

Caregiving is often a 24/7 commitment, and everyone needs a break sometimes. Our FREE program offers you, the caregiver, an opportunity to take part in activities or take time for yourself while your family member, friend, or neighbor engages in rewarding intergenerational programming.
While in this program, older adults will have access to:
- Genesee Valley campus facilities
- Community-based art & service projects
- Socialization with peers and school students
- Creative & recreational activities
- Mentorship opportunities
- A nutritious meal
