Fun in the Jungle
Who is Fun in the Jungle for?
GVCS students entering grades K-6 in the fall.
What will kids do at camp?
Students will have the opportunity to participate in STEAM, Olympic Style Competitions, Games, Crafts, Swimming, and Musical activities each week all while earning points for their color team. There is something for everyone each day to explore and enjoy.
Free breakfast and lunch is provided.
Swimming will take place every day in the afternoon (send swimsuits and towels each day).
Themes
Week 1, July 8 - 12: Welcome to the Jungle!
Black Attack and Green Machine are coming back to GV this week. Special Activities include: making a camp t-shirt and birthday celebrations for all!
Week 2, July 15 - 19: We’re Going Green
This week our activities will focus on the environment and outdoors. Special Activities include: planting and outdoor hikes
Week 3, July 22 - 26: Olympics Week
The Summer Olympics kick off this week. Students will participate in their own opening ceremony and create TEAM USA crafts.
Week 4, July 29 - August 2: Ooey Gooey Science Week
The title says it all! We will be getting messy this week.
Week 5, August 5 - August 9: Super Hero Week
This week we will be asking our local heroes to visit us as well as participating in some great team challenges.
Week 6, August 12 - August 16: Seussical Week
Along with Seuss inspired activities, students in the musical program will put on a performance for the whole camp.

Campers entering 3rd through 9th grade can choose to participate in our summer production of Seussical, JR. The performance will be held on Meet the Teacher Night.

Summer Swim Opportunities
Community Swim
The GVCS Community Swim days are open to the public.
When: Mondays and Fridays (July 8 - August 9)
8:30-9:25 a.m. parent/child swim
9:30-11:25 a.m. open swim
Where: GVCS Pool
Cost: Free to in-district residents; $5 per day for out-of-district residents
Summer Swim Lessons
Weekly Lessons (from beginner to advanced) will be offered Tuesday - Thursday in the pool at Genesee Valley Central School during the following weeks:
- July 8-12
- July 15-19
- July 22-26
- July 29-August 2
- August 5-9
Cost: $45/week. Advance registration is required.
Swim Clinic
GVCS Swim Clinic is open to modified through varsity level swimmers from any school district. The clinic is designed for swimmers to refine their technique, enhance their performance, and gain a competitive edge. The training environment will be tailored to the needs of advanced swimmers aiming to excel in the upcoming season.
When: August 12-16; Monday - Friday from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m.
Cost: $100 per student

Summer Food Program
The community (ages 18 and under) is welcome to take advantage of summer meals provided by GVCS from Monday, July 8 through Friday, August 16.
Pick-Up Times and Locations
Genesee Valley Central School (Elementary Cafeteria)
- Breakfast: 8:00-8:30 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Angelica Grange
- Breakfast: 8:30-9:00 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:00-11:30 a.m.
